A Beautiful Pumpkin Rescue Season at AGA Farms — And We Can’t Wait for Next Fall!

Pumpkin rescue season is always one of our favorite times of year!

Pumpkin rescue season is always one of our favorite times of year! This Fall at AGA Farms in Perkasie, PA was truly something special. We spent the day rescuing gorgeous, perfectly good pumpkins that would have otherwise gone to waste — and we had an incredible time doing it with so many wonderful pet parents, families, and friends.

To make things even more memorable, this year surprised us with warmer-than-usual weather! Pumpkin harvest season is usually all about cozy jackets and chilly air, but instead we found ourselves enjoying a bright, warm, early-fall kind of day. No complaints here — it made our rescue work comfortable and fun, with lots of smiles, our dogs running around happily, and fewer cold noses than expected!

Connecting & Unwinding at Aviator Winery

After the harvest, many of us gathered at Aviator Winery, located right on AGA Farm. Spending time together — chatting, relaxing, sipping wine, and getting to know one another — was the perfect way to wrap up the day.

There’s something magical about winding down after a good rescue with good people, beautiful scenery, and dogs who were just as thrilled as we were to be there. If you joined us, thank you. If you missed it, we hope to see you next year!

Why Pumpkin Is Such a Gift to Pets

One of the best parts about rescuing pumpkins is knowing how beneficial they are for dogs and cats. Pumpkin is a powerhouse ingredient, and we use it to craft several of our fan-favorite treats — all thanks to these rescue days.

Here’s why pumpkin is so valuable in your pet’s diet:

🌱 Pumpkin Supports the Gut in BOTH Directions

Pumpkin is one of the rare foods that can help with:

  • Soothing an irritated belly

  • Firming up loose stools

  • Softening overly firm stools

Its unique blend of soluble and insoluble fiber makes it an incredibly effective natural digestive balancer.

🍃 Protein-Free Option for Sensitive Pets

Since pumpkin contains no animal protein, it’s a wonderful option for pets dealing with:

  • Protein sensitivities

  • Limited-ingredient diets

  • Allergies

  • Temporary digestive upset

It’s gentle, simple, and nourishing.

🎃 Nutrient-Rich & Low in Calories

Pumpkin is naturally rich in:

  • Beta carotene (vitamin A precursor)

  • Antioxidants

  • Digestive-supportive fiber

  • Hydration

It’s a nutritious treat that supports wellness without adding heaviness to the diet.

Pumpkin Treats Made From Your Efforts

Because of your help rescuing pumpkins this year, we’re able to continue offering:

🎃 Pumpkin Seed Incentive Training Treats🎃 Pumpkin Strips🎃 Pumpkin Sprinkle🎃 Pumpkin Bones (currently out of stock — and not sure when they’ll return due to the busy season!)

Your participation helps reduce food waste while supporting the creation of wholesome, chef-made, single-ingredient treats for pets.
