Pack up the puppy, put on your walking shoes, drop the kids in the strollers and don't forget your sunglasses and visors—come to Chestnut Hill for our spring festival.
From 11 am to 5 pm, Germantown Avenue is turned into an outdoor marketplace between Rex and Willow Grove Avenues, as the street and stores come alive with festivities. Many festival-goers extend the fun into the evening with friends and more music by ducking into one of the Avenue’s many great pubs and restaurants—where informal parties continue well into the night.
Eat, play and discover all Chestnut Hill offers, including:
-Over 175 home & garden vendors along historic Germantown Avenue
-Landscape & garden displays, flowers, planters, daylilies, succulents, terrariums, birdhouses, fountains, and pools
-Ask the Experts…lots of garden information is yours for the asking!
-Vendor demonstrations including bee activities and aquaponics
-Home design, hand-made furniture, quilts, jewelry, arts & collectibles
-Subaru car display, presented by Glanzmann Subaru
-More FM 101.1 Activity Booth
-Boutique shopping at Chestnut Hill’s fine shops
-Live music on two stages
-Lots of delicious foods including McNally's Tavern Chestnut Hill famous Schmitter®, hamburgers & hot dogs, pizza, seafood, and many ethnic foods including Chinese, Mexican, Italian, and Thai. The festival gives you a great opportunity to sample some of Chestnut Hill’s wonderful restaurants…Campbells Place, Fiesta Pizza III, Cosimo's Pizza Chestnut Hill, King's Garden Chinese Cuisine, McNally's Tavern Chestnut Hill, Green Soul, Mica Restaurant, Iron Hill Brewery & Restaurant, Chestnut Grill and Sidewalk Cafe, Tavern On The Hill, Cin Cin Restaurant, Thai Kuu, Poppy's Cafe, Paris Bistro, and El Poquito. And, of course, kettle korn, funnel cakes, cotton candy, ice cream, fruit smoothies, baked goods, soft pretzels and more.
For kids: Amusement rides, face painting, a photo booth, arts & craft activities, music and a free train ride.
Admission to the festival is free. $5 parking will be available on select Chestnut Hill lots.
